It goes without saying that gambling is practically a national pastime, a fact that has continued to become clearer due to the advent of the internet. Thanks to this amazing technology there have a ton of wins in the online gaming arena with a number of casino operators making significant steps towards carving out pieces of the vast online gaming landscape that includes online poker, online casinos as well as online sports betting. State authorities too have seen the huge financial potential that the gaming industry has and this has motivated them to come up with bills and legislation that favor the growth and prosperity of gambling services.

In August last year, the Keystone State became the fourth state to regulate online poker when the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board approved three online gambling licenses – these were for Parx Casino, Harrah’s Casino Philadelphia and Mount Airy Resort Casinos. Pennsylvania joins New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware as the only states that are currently pro-online poker even though recent legislative developments indicate that some other states may follow through with similar legislation in the near future. All things considered, the current legislative landscape in the United States can be said to be rather unpredictable but the gaming industry is also beginning to counter this by growing more lucrative by the day.

Partnerships in Pennsylvania

Naturally, in a state where until a few months ago online gambling was illegal, the existing casino operators had not bothered to set up online gambling platforms. As such, the next step after the approval of the online gaming licenses was for the long-established land-based casino operators to settle on online gaming partners. In essence, what these casinos needed was an entity to set up platforms for players to visit complete with branding and all the legal musts that were outlined in their licenses. In the United States, there are a fairly limited number of options in this regard which, in a way, would make it rather simple for the casinos to strike up the best partner for their businesses.

Mount Airy Casino chose to partner with 888 Casino to bring the popular casino’s offerings to the online gambling market. This came as little of a surprise especially considering the fact that both companies already had an ongoing relationship that started back in 2014 – Mount Airy has been promoting 888 on their premises as well as engaging in other mutual dealings with the online casino.

As per the terms of the new partnership, 888 Casino will be offering Mount Airy’s online poker, slots and sports betting products in a user-friendly and convenient entertainment platform. This should not be too difficult for 888 since it was one of the early pioneers of the online gaming space which means that it has had just enough time to gather a lot of experience and expertise.
