DraftKings Finally Unveils Standalone Casino App in Pennsylvania

finance.yahoo.com

For the past couple of months, DraftKings has been offering its services in the Keystone State through an integrated sportsbook and casino app. However, the company has been hard at work trying to separate its online sports betting and online casino offerings. It succeeded at this and last month it was able to launch an amazing standalone online casino app to its customers in the state of New Jersey. Now, Pennsylvania is going to officially be the second state where the operator’s standalone casino app goes live.

What To Expect

DraftKings’ new standalone online casino app offers quite a lot of features to its customers. To begin with, all the existing customers have a very good reason to rejoice since they will be able to link their accounts across all the operator’s offerings right from its daily fantasy sports (DFS) product to its sports betting app and the newly-launched online casino. Moreover, the players will also be able to use a single wallet for all of the offerings.

As it stands, the DraftKings’ casino app is only available to iOS users. Hopefully, the company’s development team is already hard at work on an app that will cater to Android users. Even so, this is a pretty huge development especially considering all of the amazing features that the app packs.

“iGaming fans in Pennsylvania will now have the opportunity to experience a more holistic product suite and dynamic gaming experience in a DraftKings-created Casino app. The app features new games only found on DraftKings, plus revamped classics, including Blackjack and Roulette.”

At launch, the app featured a total of 16 table games, 29 slot titles as well as the Game King Poker game. There are no live dealer games but hopefully, the company is working on adding these too. More games will certainly be coming to the iGaming platform in the near future.

High Hopes for Pennsylvania

Needless to say, despite all that is currently going on, 2020 has been a pretty solid year for DraftKings. It officially became a publicly-traded company in April and it has inked some pretty lucrative deals with several popular gaming brands across the United States.

In Pennsylvania, it has been working with the Meadows and it also operates the new online casino under Hollywood Casino’s license – this was a pretty easy collaboration as both of the partners are owned by Penn National. To make things even better, DraftKings has been a pretty “collaborative working relationship” with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB). This has made it possible for both parties to push forward with moves that are geared towards creating a safe and still profitable consumer-focused online gambling sector. So far so good.
