Global Poker has always been at the forefront of ensuring customer satisfaction with its neat portfolio of mind-boggling promotions and now the operator is taking it to the next level. This development comes in the form of a partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB) something that effectively merges one of the country’s favorite sports and one of its favorite hobbies.

MLB and Global Poker recently held their first joint event at the Minute Maid Park, home of Houston Astros. During this event, poker tables were set up inside the stadium for the game’s attendees to play some hands and try to win prizes and a little bit of swag. The partnership truly is a match made in heaven and will see both organizations benefit from what either has to offer.

“Baseball is America’s favorite pastime. Poker is America’s favorite game, and putting the two together just makes perfect sense,” said Joseph Del Duca, the Head of Communications and Social Media at Global Poker.

As it turns out, the event attracted a lot of praise from all of the people who attended. In fact, it was so thrilling that Brian Tamplen, one of the attendees stepped onto the mound into the Houston and throw out the ceremonial first pitch for winning a Global Poker tournament.

“People that are into baseball are into competitive sport. People in poker are in a competitive sport, so those might just go together,” one of the attendees pointed out.

Baseball and poker are both quite great pass times and bringing them together is certainly bound to increase the thrill of being a part of both.

Global Poker Gets to San Francisco

The next Global Poker/Major League Baseball (MLB) event is set to take place on September 14 at AT&T Park at 5 p.m. Pacific Time. This will be before the Colorado Rockies and the San Francisco Giants face off. Global Poker will be present at the event to give baseball fans a taste of poker – they will also be giving away free Global Poker and San Francisco Giants merchandise on that day.

Global Poker certainly has more Global Poker partnerships planned out with the Major League – these will include branding of stadiums while fans watch the games. The action is already heating up in anticipation of the post-season baseball that is right around the corner.
