The online gaming scene in Pennsylvania just got a major upgrade. PENN Entertainment, Inc. has officially launched its standalone Hollywood Casino app, offering the state’s players a dedicated, casino-focused platform.

The Hollywood Casino app, now available on Android, iOS, and desktop, provides users in Pennsylvania with a streamlined, casino-centric platform. Built on PENN’s proprietary technology, the app consolidates over 700 casino games, including popular slots, table games, and live dealer content. It also incorporates PENN’s own game titles, such as Legendary Larry™ and Wuji Mines™, developed by its in-house studio, PENN Game Studios.

Players can access the app using their existing ESPN BET credentials, ensuring a seamless transition between PENN’s sportsbook and casino offerings. According to Aaron LaBerge, PENN’s Chief Technology Officer, the app’s design capitalizes on the company’s four retail properties in Pennsylvania, strengthening brand trust and encouraging customer loyalty.

While many competitors in the state’s gaming market have focused on standalone sportsbook apps, PENN’s approach mirrors its commitment to creating a top-notch casino experience just as it does with land-based casinos. With features such as a virtual “Casino Floor” that replicates the atmosphere of its brick-and-mortar venues, the company aims to provide a unique hybrid experience.

Omnichannel Integration and Future Expansion Plans

The app’s integration with PENN Play, the company’s omnichannel loyalty program, further enhances its appeal. Players can earn and redeem rewards, including PENN Cash, tier benefits, and personalized services across both digital and physical properties. This alignment of incentives strengthens PENN’s strategy to create a unified ecosystem that caters to diverse gaming preferences.

PENN’s ambitions do not stop at Pennsylvania. The company plans to roll out the Hollywood Casino app in additional jurisdictions by early 2025, pending regulatory approval. This expansion is all part of its broader strategy to establish a stronghold in the growing online gambling market while maintaining compliance with regional regulations.
