Harrah’s Philadelphia to Introduce a New Mobile Betting App

Its been just nearly two years since the Keystone State signed off on a massive gambling expansion bid that has propelled the growth of the industry so much that it is anticipated that state’s gambling market will be more valuable than those of any other state in the country. Just recently, online gambling was launched in the state and it has become one of the biggest catalysts that are responsible for driving the growth of the gambling sector. With a number of great online sportsbooks now on offer, Pennsylvanian is moving forward with its plans for a full-fledged online gambling industry that is being helmed by the top gaming operators in the state and their high-profile software provider partners.

Keeping in the spirit of growth, Harrah’s Philadelphia has recently announced that it too will soon be launching a mobile betting platform that will bring the total of mobile sports betting options in the state to six. For a start, this is very impressive. According to the press release through which the announcement was made, the mobile betting platform which is a collaboration between Scientific Games (SG) and Caesars Entertainment, the company that owns Harrah’s, could be made available before the end of September 2019 and will be the first of many other planned launches.

Powered by OpenSports

The new mobile betting platform will be powered by Scientific Games’ OpenSPorts sports betting platform which is also used by other Caesars properties. As mentioned earlier, many other launches are in the pipeline and they will also be utilizing the same sports betting platform when they launch – both the casino operator and the software provider are working very hard to ensure this happens. This, of course, applies to other states as well, not just Pennsylvania.

“Following the recent launches in Indiana, Iowa, Mississippi, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania earlier this year, the sports betting partnership between Scientific Games and Caesars will continue to expand into new markets with the introduction of OpenSports solutions in Illinois and North Carolina,” reads a section of the press release.

Meanwhile, this is certainly a great time for the launch of such products in the Keystone State especially considering the fact that football season is now in full swing with both college and professional games regularly on the calendar. With so many great options to choose from, placing bets on their favorite sports teams has never been easier. The state also has a lot to gain from the addition of the sportsbook due to increased tax revenue – the sports betting industry has been performing quite well so there is certainly a lot to look forward to.
