Kindred’s Launches Sportsbook in New Jersey, Sets Sight on Pennsylvania

About three months ago, Kindred debuted its online casino offering in New Jersey, one of the most lucrative gambling markets in the United States. As it turns out, that was just part of the operator’s plans to capitalize on the growing market in the state and it has followed through with the launch of an online sportsbook through Unibet, its flagship brand.

The new Unibet sportsbook is the very first Kindred online sports betting product and it is part of the company’s wider strategy to penetrate as many states as possible, that is, so long as they have legalized regulated gambling. Its venture into the Garden State’s market was made possible by the successful application for a Casino Service Industry Enterprise License that was awarded by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.

Sports bettors in the state will now be able to access online sports betting services on their desktops as well as on their iOS or Android smartphones and tablets. For its online sportsbook, Kindred chose to partner with Kambi Group, a renowned European betting technology provider – both companies have maintained very close ties since 2014 and this assures players of a seamless and outstanding gaming experience since both companies have had time to perfect various aspects of their products in other markets.

New Jersey aside, Kindred now has its sights set on other gambling markets in the country and one of the most notable ones in this regard is the Keystone State whose online gambling sector just took off recently. Pennsylvanian bettors can, therefore, expect a Kindred gaming product in the future, a move that will be facilitated by its recent partnership with Mohegan Sun Pocono.

Iowa and Indiana Get New Sportsbooks

Sports betting is rapidly expanding in many other states as well. Boyd Gaming and FanDuel, both of whom are popular names in the gaming industry, have recently extended their partnerships by launching four retail sportsbooks at four properties in Indiana and Iowa. Sports bettors can now enjoy some sports betting action by visiting Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque and Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood, Iowa, and at Blue Chip Casino Hotel and Spa in Michigan City and Belterra Casino Resort in Florence, Indiana.

All four properties made their debuts through star-studded launches that were attended by many high-profile celebrities and four football celebrities – each casino saw its ceremonial first bet placed by each of the four football legends.

With the retail sports betting product now live, Boyd Gaming and FanDuel are already planning the next phase of their expansion plans which will involve the launch of mobile sports betting. In fact, the only thing that is holding them back is the pending regulatory approvals.
