Unibet, the flagship brand of European-based gambling company Kindred Group has recently extended its footprint in the United States by launching a sportsbook in the Keystone State. Pennsylvania is the second state that the gaming operator has set up shop in – earlier this month, it began its United States expansion bid in New Jersey.

Kindred’s venture in New Jersey was made possible through a partnership with Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Atlantic City. These partners are among the leading gaming providers in the state and in the country at large. Clearly, the gaming operator is not playing around when it comes to solidifying its position as a leading force in the growing US sports betting market.

“We wanted a strong partner who shares our dedication to customer experience and values, and we know that together we will offer Pennsylvanians a truly unmatched in-house and soon-to-come online sports betting and casino experience,” Kindred US’s SVP Manuel Stan said.

For its venture into the Keystone State’s gambling market, Kindred launched a Unibet-branded sportsbook at Mohegan Sun Pocono in Wilkes-Barre. The gaming facility is owned and operated by Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment which is the casino resorts business of the Mohegan Tribe in Connecticut.

The partnership between Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment and Kindred officially came to be earlier this year. This multi-year partnership between the two parties will see Kindred manage Mohegan Sun Pocono’s retail and online sports betting operations.

What Is Offered?

Even though the retail sportsbook was first to launch, the company’s have plans to launch their online sports betting operation in the near future – hopefully, before the end of the year. For now, sports bettors will only be able to place bets at the new 1,130-square-foot lounge. The facility will be open every day from 11 a.m. to midnight. Within that time, players will be able to place bets on a number of sporting activities including the NFL, NCAA, NHL, NBA, PGA, professional tennis, boxing, UFC, rugby, NASCAR, MLS, Premier League Soccer, La Liga and Bundesliga.

With all that available at the retail sportsbook, it is safe to say that the digital sportsbook is set to be even better. Already, the company has hinted at plans of an enhanced online gambling experience which will be powered by iOS and Android-compatible gambling apps.  The mobile betting sector continues to grow and it is great to see that Kindred is already making plans to capitalize on that.

All in all, this is great news for sports bettors in the state who have been waiting for best in class gaming experience. Besides, this is another great leap for the state’s gambling sector.
