Mohegan Digital is pursuing a bold push to grow its presence in Pennsylvania’s massive online casino market, tapping into the power of professional sports through a newly announced partnership with the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers. The collaboration will elevate the visibility of Mohegan Online Casino and its sportsbook by connecting with one of the most engaged fan bases in the state.

The Mohegan Backstory

Mohegan Online Casino, which entered the Pennsylvania market in 2024, offers a wide portfolio of online slots, table games, daily jackpots, and rotating bonuses. But despite its expanding catalog, the platform has yet to climb into the top tier of Pennsylvania’s iGaming leaders.

In October, Pennsylvania online casinos collectively hit a record-breaking $251 million in revenue. Mohegan Online Casino, however, brought in under $2.2 million, placing it near the lower end of the market’s performance list. Established giants like BetMGM Casino and DraftKings Casino continue to dominate. These are mostly backed by heavy marketing and broad player networks.

Against this landscape, Mohegan Digital is seeking a differentiating strategy that connects directly with Pennsylvania players. The Flyers partnership is now at the center of that effort.

Aiming for High Impact

The new agreement gives Mohegan Online Casino significant exposure throughout the Flyers season at Xfinity Mobile Arena, including in-game promotions and on-site activations. Selected fans will even have the chance to participate in on-ice contests, creating memorable touchpoints that bridge live entertainment and digital gaming.

The deal also extends far beyond the arena. Mohegan Digital will integrate branding across Flyers broadcasts and social media channels, strengthening its footprint among viewers and online audiences. One of the standout activations is the Rink Roulette projection, a visually striking ice display that will appear during select games and tie Mohegan’s casino identity directly into the fan experience.

Guy Greene, vice president of digital gaming at Mohegan Digital, said the partnership provides the casino brand with expanded visibility across the state, reaching both dedicated hockey fans and potential new casino players. Flyers senior vice president of corporate partnerships, Bryan Furey, affirmed this, noting that the activations will add to the excitement inside the arena and enrich the overall game-day experience.

With Pennsylvania continuing to grow into one of the most successful iGaming markets in the United States, Mohegan’s strategy blends sports culture with digital gaming in a way designed to resonate with a wide audience. The brand hopes that enhanced visibility, creative activations, and integrated marketing will help it compete more effectively. We are certainly looking forward to seeing how it all turns out.
