September is proving to be quite an exciting month for poker players all around the world. There are several exciting poker tournaments going down and Pennsylvania players are about to get a piece of tournament action too despite a few setbacks. PokerStars Pennsylvania has recently announced that its very prestigious Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker (PACOOP)series will be returning for the second edition in mid-September.

Set to officially kick off on September 19, the championship series will run for a total of two weeks, that is, until October 5.

Learning from Experience

PokerStars held the inaugural edition of PACOOP in November 2019 and its success is part of the reason why this year is expected to be even better. To begin with, even though the guarantees and full schedule of the event are yet to be released, there is a likelihood that the total guarantees will be about $2 million. The prize pool last year was a whopping $1.55 million which was quite impressive considering the fact that the initial guaranteed prize pool was $1.25 million.

Some other major highlights of last year’s PACOOP include the 50 tournaments that saw the participation of more than 12,000 entrants. There was also the $300 buy-in Main Event where there was a $125,000 guarantee prize pool – with over 640 entries into this event, the prize money exceeded the guaranteed amount by quite a bit. The Main Event prize money ended up clocking in at $179,000.

These highlights offer some insight into what we can expect from this year’s PACOOP. There is a high possibility that it will be much better than what Pennsylvanians were treated to in 2019.

The Vault Promotion

The Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker is still a little over a week away but players in the state can still take advantage of some amazing offers from PokerStars. These include the all-new Vault promotion that is accessible to players in New Jersey and the Keystone State. Players in Pennsylvania stand a chance of walking away with a piece of the cash prize which stands at over $175,000.

To participate, all that the players need to do is to opt-in, play real money games, and then earn Chests. Each of these Chests contains a 3-digit code that they can use to unlock special Chests. After they have collected all the three digits required for a combination lock, the players will receive a Special Chest – the value of these Chests will be tied to the player’s level in the Stars Rewards program. Once all that is done, the players will gain access to the Vault which contains additional cash prizes of up to $15,000.
