Pennsylvania is becoming the latest piece of Octoplay’s growing US online casino strategy, with the games supplier securing regulatory approval to enter the state’s iGaming market.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has granted Octoplay Interim Authorization, allowing the company to supply its casino content to licensed operators. The move gives Octoplay access to one of the largest regulated online casino markets in the US and marks its third state entry in less than 18 months.
That expansion has been closely tied to some of the biggest names in the market. BetMGM was Octoplay’s first US launch partner, taking its games live in New Jersey in June 2025 before doing the same in Michigan later that year alongside FanDuel and Rush Street Interactive.
A Boost from Entain Relationship?
The relationship with Entain has become another important part of Octoplay’s expansion, and this will likely be visible in the Keystone State’s iGaming market. The partnership started in the UK before moving into Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark and Georgia. Further launches have been prepared for Spain, Brazil, Italy and Greece, while Alberta has also become part of the rollout as Canada’s newly regulated iGaming market develops.
BetMGM’s role adds another layer to that relationship. The MGM Resorts and Entain joint venture helped bring Octoplay into both New Jersey and Michigan, giving the supplier access to major US player bases.
The partnership has also moved beyond simply putting Octoplay games on casino platforms. The companies co-developed Jackpot Blitz, a bespoke version of Octoplay’s jackpot engine designed for Entain’s players.
Octoplay produced four custom projects for Entain in 2025, including a Coral-branded title and an Elvis Presley game launched exclusively through BetMGM in the US. Two more bespoke projects are currently in development.
Pennsylvania Adds to a Fast US Expansion
Martina Borg Stevens, Octoplay’s chief legal officer, said Pennsylvania represents one of the more demanding regulatory environments in the US and described the approval as an important step for the company.
The supplier now operates in more than 20 regulated jurisdictions globally, although its US expansion has moved particularly quickly. New Jersey arrived in 2025, Michigan followed later that year and Pennsylvania becomes the third US state in its regulatory footprint.
Octoplay has also established itself in Ontario and launched in Alberta from the first day of the province’s regulated iGaming market, where its games became available through seven operators. That combination of US and Canadian launches points to where the company sees its next stage of growth. Rather than expanding market by market without an obvious regional focus, Octoplay is building distribution across North America’s regulated online casino markets while using major operator partnerships to accelerate access.
Slots Remain at the Centre
The company’s core offering remains online slots, with a portfolio of more than 80 games covering classic formats, branded releases and Hold & Win titles. Its games also feature additional mechanics such as Double Chance, Jackpot Hunt and Daily Hunt. The latter two add jackpot-focused side features, while Double Chance is designed to increase opportunities to trigger a main game feature.
The supplier’s performance has given the Pennsylvania launch some extra momentum. Octoplay ranked as the No. 1 New Overall Top Supplier in the Eilers & Krejcik Gaming and Fantini Online Game Performance Report for four consecutive months between April and July.
Pennsylvania therefore arrives at a significant point in Octoplay’s expansion. The company has regulatory access to another major US market, established operator relationships through BetMGM and Entain, and a growing portfolio it can now bring to Pennsylvania’s online casino players.
