Update on

The Philadelphia 76ers have recently announced a lucrative multi-year partnership with Betway, a global online sports betting brand owned by Guernsey-based Super Group. Betway is now the official betting partner of the NBA team and they are both about to reap huge benefits from the agreement.

To begin with, this is a wonderful opportunity for the parties to take advantage of the partner’s platforms. For instance, Betway will now be able to have its signage displayed throughout the Wells Fargo Center during locally televised 76ers regular-season home games. This signage will be visible in such places as the team bench aprons, on the sides of the court, on the scorer’s table as well as on the basket stanchion LED screens.

In addition to that, the Philadelphia 76ers’ Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts will offer Betway a unique marketing opportunity.  The online sports betting firm will utilize the platforms to gain some exposure in the North American market.

“As the Betway brand is licensed in Pennsylvania, this is not just a branding opportunity but a chance for us to engage with fans who will also be able to access our product. With an extensive list of marketing assets associated with the deal, we are sure this will be a very successful partnership.”

Anthony Werkman, CEO of Betway commented.

Also included in the agreement are requirements that Betway will be responsible for pre-game insights. It will achieve that through a pre-game stats graphic with relevant statistics. Fans can also look forward to the Betway and Sixers social media sweepstakes. Here, the fans will have a chance to enter, play and possibly win some 76ers home game tickets. It will be sponsored by Betway.

Building on Existing Partnerships

For both Betway and the Philadelphia 76ers, their partnership represents a key milestone in their growth. Both parties already had some other partnership deals and a new one represents an opportunity to expand on those.

Betway is relatively new to the North American sports betting market but it has already inked several lucrative partnerships. One of its other recent developments is a similar partnership agreement with the Dallas Mavericks.

The Philadelphia 76ers has also not been slouching as it intends to take full advantage of the rapidly-growing US sports betting market. Aside from Betway, the team has also inked official partnerships with other huge betting brands in the United States. These include BetRivers, Fox Bet, BetMGM, and DraftKings. The 76ers have also recently announced a partnership with Crypto.com.
