PokerStars PACOOP Goes Live in the Keystone State

PokerStars debuted in the Keystone State’s online gambling market about a month ago and already is proving to be the leading online poker platform. As expected, the company has been working very hard to solidify its position as the leader in the online poker sector and its efforts are already being seen by Pennsylvanian poker players.

One of the things that PokerStars is very popular for offering is its action-packed and very exciting tournaments. Already, Pennsylvanian poker enthusiasts can enjoy these tournaments right from their devices. The company, however, took things a notch higher when it announced the Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker (PACOOP) which officially took off on November 30 and will run till December 16.

PACOOP will feature a total of 50 tournaments as well as a whopping $1 million in guarantees. This is definitely a great way for the Keystone State to end the year. It is very exciting to have poker live in the state especially considering how long the launch was delayed. Furthermore, the tournament series is quite a big deal since it is the very first notable poker tournament in Pennsylvania since online poker was legalized.

Overview of the Tournament

PACOOP will feature buy-ins of between $30 and $750. However, the poker players will have the option to compete in some online satellites in order to gain entry into the tournament. Poker players will be able to enter these satellites for as little as $1 and they will be running up until the start of each tournament.

The tournament series, as a whole, has already captured the interest of thousands of players in the state and this is set to remain the same till the end. Perhaps the most anticipated event of the series will be the $300 Main Event which will go down on December 15 and December 16. For this main event, the poker players will be competing for a whopping $100,000.

Other Promotions

PokerStars really wants Pennsylvania poker players to join all the tournament fun they are currently offering. To make this possible, the online poker platform has been raising the prize pools and even adding tickets to the Main Event.

“Players in PA have already shown their excitement for PokerStars, so we took things to the next level with a $1 million series guarantee and plenty of ways to get in on the action,” FOX Bet President Matt Primeaux.

To make things even better, PokerStars will be giving tickets to daily freerolls to any player who loses during a PACOOP event without making any money. In addition to that, new customers who make their first deposit will also be getting special freerolls.
