Back in January 2011, PokerStars began experimenting with a Home Game features in a number of jurisdictions across the world. In the United States, this was only available for a limited period of time since its launch was closely followed by a countrywide crackdown on illegal online gambling. PokerStars was one of the casualties of this crackdown and it was forced to exit the country’s gaming market.

What Are Home Games?

As the name suggests, Home Games allow players to enjoy their favorite casino games in a private setting. They are very popular in the online poker world since they offer the interested players a more exclusive and convenient way to indulge in the favorite games along with their friends and families.

At the moment, lots of gambling businesses have been closed temporarily as the world struggles to contain the spread of the virus. Everyone has been advised to self-isolate and do whatever it is they need to do from the comfort of their homes. These are parts of the efforts to prevent further spread of COVID-19.

With more poker players in Pennsylvania now playing from their homes, PokerStars has made the decision to bring back the Home Game feature.

What It Entails

The newly added Home Game feature is pretty exciting for poker lovers not just because it is a new and very convenient to enjoy gaming but also because of all the benefits that it comes with. PokerStars Pa.’s customers will be able to set up their own poker clubs, create real money cash games and even tournaments.

They will then be able to invite other players to join the poker game sessions that they have created. For players within the Keystone State, real money gaming will be allowed. However, if the players want to invite people outside Pennsylvania, they will need to stick to the play money Home Games option. Either way, it is a great way for poker lovers to enjoy some poker action while staying at home.

The original Homes Games feature was definitely very exciting to play but with the newly relaunched iteration, the online poker operator has added several great features in order to make the experience even better.  For instance, the players will have access to a wider range of variants to choose from. In addition to that, they will be able to make use of a number of neat features such as post announcements, the ability to establish regular tournaments as well as the option to use monitor player results through a leaderboard.
