About a week ago, PokerStars and FOX Bet announced that the Winter Series would be returning on PokerStars PA beginning Thursday, January 21. The highly-acclaimed tournament series has been scheduled to run until January 31 and will feature a total of 45 fun and exciting events with guaranteed prize pools of up to a whopping $1 million.

Last year’s Winter Series proved to a huge success featuring a total of 30 events and offering $675,000 in total guarantees. The participating players ultimately walked away with over $828,000. That said, the 2021 PokerStars PA Winter Series is likely to be even more rewarding to all of the players who will be participating.

Online poker traffic in Pennsylvania has been quite high in the Keystone State as well as other parts of the state since the pandemic hit and this is probably going to remain so for a while. As such, lots of poker players are expected to be a part of the tournament action not just because of the prizes involved but also because it offers a great alternative to land-based games and tournaments which are yet to fully return to normal.

The Highlights

As always, poker players will have something to look forward to for each of the 45 events but there are a few that stand out among all the rest. Some of the ones that everyone is looking forward to include:

  • $200 NLHE Prog. KO, Thursday Thrill SE, $40K guaranteed. (Jan. 21)
  • $100 NLHE Sunday Special SE, $100,000 guaranteed. (Jan. 24)
  • $250 NLHE Super Tuesday SE, $50,000 guaranteed. (Jan. 26)
  • $1,000 NLHE High Roller, $50,000 guaranteed. (Jan. 27)
  • $250 NLHE Prog. KO, Thursday Thrill SE, $50,000 guaranteed. (Jan. 28)
  • $300 NLHE Main Event, $200,000 guaranteed. (Jan. 31)
  • $50 NLHE Mini Main Event, $35,000 guaranteed. (Jan. 31)

Also included in the mix are a bunch of amazing non-No Limit Hold’em offerings. These include H.O.R.S.E, no-limit five-card draw, no-limit Omaha hi-lo, pot-limit Omaha, and 8-game mixed events.

How to Get in On the Action

Since the announcement of the return of the Winter Series, PokerStars PA has been offering several freerolls and satellites as well as other fun ways for poker enthusiasts to win tickets. The operator’s special $3 Spin & Go events, for instance, have proven to be very popular among the site’s customers. But that is not all.

Players can look forward to even more rewards throughout the tournament. To begin with, there will be Second Chance Freerolls where players can win seats to events during the entire duration of the Winter Series.

Moreover, the poker operator will also be offering a Depositor Freeroll on January 31. This will allow any player who deposits at least $30 before that date to use the code “FREEZE” to enter and stand a chance of winning a piece of the $10,000 worth of Winter Series Main Event tickets.
