According to the findings of the survey, Pennsylvania&#8217;s gaming industry saw modest year-over-year growth. In July 2022, the state&#8217;s gaming authority reported <strong>$429.07 million in earnings from all types of gambling, up 1.28 percent from the previous July.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In sum, this means that in July 2022, <strong>$177.1 million in tax revenue<\/strong> was collected from all gambling and fantasy sports combined. When compared to the total amount of $174.7 million collected in taxes during the month of July 2021, the total amount collected during July of this year was slightly higher, having climbed by 1.37%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-the-casino-operators-faired\">How the Casino Operators Faired<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Only six out of the total 17 operators reported an increase in their income for the previous month. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pennsylvaniacasinos.com\/news\/22-december-opening-date-set-for-hollywood-casino-morgantown\/\">Hollywood Casino Morgantow<\/a>n only brought in $570,794 in revenue during the month of July last year. The venue&#8217;s income hit a record high of $6.62 million in July of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earnings were up at Valley Forge Casino Resort in the previous month as well. This July, the resort&#8217;s revenue was $41.4 million, up from $35.3 million a year before. In a similar vein, Wind Creek Bethlehem&#8217;s revenue in July grew to $50 million, representing a nearly 14% rise over the previous month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earnings at the Meadows and Penn National Hollywood casinos increased by 6.25 and 4 percent, respectively, to $22 and $55.8 million. Comparatively, Harrah&#8217;s Philadelphia had a rise in revenue of less than 1%, to $18.4 million, in July, while Parx Casino saw a drop of over 12%, to $56.4 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"revenue-by-game-type\">Revenue By Game Type<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The report indicates that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.covers.com\/industry\/pennsylvania-sports-betting-july-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sports betting<\/a> and online slot machines had a pretty successful month in July. These have been reporting remarkable growth rates for quite some time now. Nonetheless, other industries managed to stay strong as well.
