Online casinos in the Keystone State generated $324.3 million in gross revenue during the final month of the year, setting a new all-time monthly record. The total surpassed the previous high of $312.5 million set in October and came in 15.4% higher than December 2024\u2019s $281.2 million. That late surge cemented 2025 as Pennsylvania\u2019s strongest year since launching iGaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"close-enough-to-4-billion\">Close Enough to $4 Billion?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Admittedly, $4 billion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pennsylvaniacasinos.com\/news\/pennsylvania-igaming-growth-trends-point-to-historic-4-billion-milestone\/\">seemed like the magic<\/a> number as we observed the sector\u2019s performance. With December now officially reported, Pennsylvania online casinos finished 2025 with $3.46 billion in gross gaming revenue. Pretty good. That is still a massive 28% increase from 2024\u2019s $2.71 billion and further extends the state\u2019s lead as the top iGaming market in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Momentum generally grew in the second half of the year. From July through December, operators generated $1.80 billion, compared to $1.67 billion in the first six months. December also marked the third consecutive month in which Pennsylvania cleared $300 million in online casino revenue, a threshold no other US iGaming state has reached to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond operator revenue, December alone generated more than $115 million in tax receipts for Pennsylvania. For the full year, online casinos contributed approximately $1.24 billion in tax revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"leveraging-broad-based-growth\">Leveraging Broad-Based Growth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board\u2019s latest report showed $259.7 million in adjusted gaming revenue for December, a figure that removes promotional credits from the gross total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Revenue growth was spread across most major licensees, though performance varied widely. Penn National once again led the market with $125.4 million in December revenue, up nearly 19% year over year. Valley Forge followed with $92.1 million, while Rivers Philadelphia posted $47.4 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several operators recorded notable gains, including Caesars Interactive, which surged more than 61%, and Mohegan Sun, which posted a 62.4% increase. Others moved in the opposite direction, with Mount Airy and Live! Philadelphia reporting year-over-year declines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pennsylvania\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamingregulation.com\/regulation\/united-states\/pennsylvania\/interactive-gaming\/\">iGaming structure<\/a> continues to group revenue by licensee rather than individual brands. Many licensees operate multiple online casinos under their umbrella, but the results are reported collectively by the PGCB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"extending-a-national-lead\">Extending A National Lead<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2025 figures once again place Pennsylvania well ahead of other regulated US iGaming markets.
