The casino marked the milestone with a special anniversary luncheon on Friday, January 16, awarding $100,000 in community impact donations to organizations across the Shippensburg region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since opening its doors, Parx Casino Shippensburg has now contributed $589,000 to l<a href=\"https:\/\/nonprofitquarterly.org\/betting-on-casinos-to-provide-charitable-donations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ocal charities and nonprofits<\/a>, reinforcing its position as more than just a gaming destination for Central Pennsylvania players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"sixteen-central-pennsylvania-organizations-receive-funding\">Sixteen Central Pennsylvania Organizations Receive Funding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s donations went to 16 local charities and community groups, including emergency services, nonprofit organizations, and community development initiatives. Recipients included Shippensburg EMS, Vigilant Hose Company, West End Fire &amp; Rescue, the Shippensburg Police Foundation, Coy Public Library of Shippensburg, Cumberland Valley Community Cares, Wheels for Women, and several other organizations working directly with residents across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The funding supports a wide range of services, from first responders and libraries to food outreach and downtown revitalization efforts, underscoring how casino-backed funding continues to flow beyond the gaming floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-million-community-commitment-in-the-long-term\">$1 Million Community Commitment in the Long Term<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Parx Casino Shippensburg\u2019s latest donations are part of a $1 million pledge spread over ten years, designed to support the surrounding community both before and after the casino\u2019s launch. With more than half of that commitment already delivered, Parx continues to tie its Pennsylvania <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pennsylvaniacasinos.com\/news\/december-surge-sends-pennsylvania-igaming-to-historic-3-46b-year\/\">casino success<\/a> directly to local investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Newly elected Shippensburg Mayor Shaun Rogers addressed attendees, calling Parx Casino a key community partner and highlighting the strength of local organizations represented at the event.
